Certified Nurse Practitioner and Lactation Counselor in Oxford, MS
Brooke is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner and certified lactation counselor. Brooke grew up in North Mississippi and always wanted to practice pediatric primary care. Brooke received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Mississippi University for Women in 2009 and her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017.
Brooke specializes in newborn care and breastfeeding medicine with over a decade of experience, most in collaboration with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants at North Mississippi Medical Center Women’s Hospital, one of the largest rural birthing centers in the country. She brings inpatient experience caring for hospitalized pediatric patients, postpartum Mother/Baby diads, and NICU step down infants. Brooke is an experienced Nurse Practitioner in the outpatient setting, having worked alongside Dr. Phillips since moving to Oxford in 2017. She enjoys providing a medical home to local children and looks forward to many more!
Brooke lives in Oxford with her husband, Jonathan, a private music instructor and State Farm Insurance Agent, and their daughter Cora. Her fur baby, Bubbles, calls her “Mom” too!
