Phillips Pediatrics offers comprehensive breastfeeding and lactation services. We are a unique team because our providers, Dr. Phillips and Brooke Underwood, are both Nationally Certified Lactation Counselors with over 15 years of combined lactation experience. Both Dr. Phillips and Brooke manage initial breastfeeding latch difficulty in the newborn period, infant weight loss, breast pump/pumping management, supplementation, as well as a variety of individualized needs that come with each stage of feeding.

Breastfeeding Services

Services are offered in our clinic as well as virtually via telemedicine and can usually be accommodated same day. We encourage our patients to use all of their community breastfeeding resources, and we will happily collaborate with your birthing hospital lactation department, local lactation consultants, WIC, and La Leche League. We refer families to Dr. Glick at Mississippi Lactation Services in Jackson when local resources are not enough.
